Design, creation, implementation, and support of styledtribe.com; a progressive web app hosted in the cloud using AWS services. StyledTribe utilizes responsive design enabling a great user experience on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops. StyledTribe uses AWS services for increased performance, reliability, load balancing, and scalability. StyledTribe includes Facebook Authentication to provide a low friction user experience while signing up and logging in.
StyledTribe was built with a backend-centric architecture, using Node.js as a fast, lightweight web server. However, to enhance usability, some styledtribe.com functionality emulates a Single Page App. It uses Fetch to return JSON which is then used to build UI elements, via JavaScript, on the front-end. This approach results in a quicker and more responsive application while avoiding unnecessary page refreshes.
About Me
I am a recent Web Developer Bootcamp graduate. I created and manage a progressive web app, styledtribe.com, written in JavaScript using a Node.js web server hosted in the cloud using AWS services.
I characterize myself as a creative, thoughtful, and honest team-player. I love to create and truly find joy in problem-solving. Besides software development, I have a strong affinity for songwriting. I strive to learn something new each day in an ever-changing industry, develop innovative and exciting ideas, and excel at what I do.
I am very excited for what my future in software development holds, and I am actively looking for the perfect opportunity to continue working towards what lies ahead.
